What We Know About Disneyland Paris’ Major Transformation and Expansion In 2026

Posted on September 30, 2025 By malu

Something very exciting is happening in Disneyland Paris. The European resort is going through a major expansion, specifically at its second park, currently known as Walt Disney Studios Park. But as of next year, Disneyland Paris’ sister park will be rebranded as Disney Adventure World.

This transformation includes more than a new name. Disney Adventure World’s transformation will be marked by multiple new lands, including an immersive world themed after the hit animated film Frozen. With most of the park’s changes launching in 2026, there’s a lot to catch up on. Let’s recap what we know about this major transformation that is currently underway at Disneyland Paris.

Disney Adventure World renaming

Currently known as Disney Studios Park, Disneyland Paris’ second theme park is already home to exciting lands such as Marvel Avengers Campus and Worlds of Pixar. Those lands aren’t going anywhere as the park transforms into Disney Adventure World.

The following lands (both new and reimagined), with the exception of the area themed after The Lion King, are scheduled for completion in 2026 and will coincide with the official renaming of Disney Adventure World.

World Premiere

If you can’t wait until 2026 to get a glimpse at the future of Disneyland Paris, then I have some good news for you: Part of Disney Adventure World is already complete. Previously known as Studio 1, World Premiere serves as the park’s new entrance sequence — its Main Street, U.S.A., if you will. World Premiere opened on May 15, 2025, ushering in the first major milestone of Disney Adventure World.

World Premiere includes shopping and dining, including the quick-service dining location The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant and Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique where you can find those must-have souvenirs.

World Premiere culminates as you step outside and into World Premiere Plaza, an area inspired by Broadway and the West End. Here, you’ll find an array of dazzling stage shows, including TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation. World Premiere Plaza will get a little TLC ahead of Disney Adventure Park’s renaming, with work being done on the area’s pathways and landscaping which includes the arrival of new Art Deco-inspired street furniture. This work is set for completion ahead of Disney Adventure World’s transformation in 2026.

Adventure Way

As you journey beyond World Premiere and further into Disney Adventure World, you’ll step into a new land called Adventure Way. This land will open as part of the Disney Adventure World transformation in spring 2026. Adventure Way will serve as a “crossroads” between the front of the park (where you’ll currently find Marvel Avengers Campus and Worlds of Pixar) and Disney Adventure World’s future immersive areas inspired by Frozen (opening in spring 2026) and The Lion King (construction beginning in fall 2025).

Adventure Way will be home to two new attractions. The first is Raiponce Tangled Spin, a family attraction that will take you on a “spin” through the iconic floating lanterns scene from Tangled. From the concept art below, it looks like it could be a cross between a carousel and Mad Tea Party.

The second ride is themed after the Pixar film Up. This elevated spinning carousel (it’s looking like something very similar to Silly Symphony Swings at Disney California Adventure) will offer a bird’s-eye view of Disney Adventure World.

Those views should be spectacular, as Adventure Way will also feature themed gardens inspired by Disney Animation’s Tangled and Pixar’s Toy Story. When it’s time to grab a bite to eat, you can head over to The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge, a “stylish” restaurant where you can meet Disney Princesses.

For your vacation planning purposes, it sounds like Adventure Way is where you’ll want to find yourself at the end of the day. That’s because you’ll be able to take in the sights and sounds of a brand-new nighttime spectacular. Details on the new show are sparse at the moment, but we are sure to learn more ahead of its 2026 debut. The show will take place in and above Adventure Bay, the waterway situated along this area.

World of Frozen

One of the most anticipated portions of Disney Adventure World that will be completed in spring 2026 is World of Frozen. Iterations of this land have previously opened in Hong Kong Disneyland in 2023 and at Tokyo DisneySea (known there as Frozen Kingdom) in 2024.

World of Frozen at Disney Adventure World will include multiple attractions, including Frozen Ever After. This boat ride has different versions in Hong Kong Disneyland, EPCOT, and in Tokyo DisneySea (there known as Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey). This particular ride has grown and evolved with each of those iterations, so the version opening at Disney Adventure World should be as spectacular as the rest!

World of Frozen will also be home to a second, brand-new attraction exclusive to Disney Adventure World. What we know of this new ride so far from Disney is that it will “bring guests on a journey alongside Anna and Elsa.” That sounds a little vague at the moment, so we’ll have to wait for more details to emerge ahead of completion!

The Lion King-themed land

Looking beyond 2026, another highly anticipated addition to Disney Adventure World is another new land, this time themed after The Lion King.

This world will include a brand-new flume ride themed to the 1994 animated film. Construction on this new area is set to begin in the fall of 2025. While it won’t be completed in time for the big reveal of Disney Adventure World in 2026, its opening shouldn’t be too far behind!

The Lion King expansion at Disney Adventure World will be anchored by a new E-ticket flume ride themed after the classic 1994 animated film. We’ve gotten some sneak peeks at the interior as well as exterior of the ride, which will include all of our favorite characters.

Considering all of the exciting expansions coming to this park, including the renaming into Disney Adventure World, guests will seriously need to consider booking their first trip (or return trip!) to Disneyland Paris. Disney has been making significant investments in its international parks in recent years, with many of the additions rivaling anything you’ll find at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. If you’re like me and are a big fan of Imagineering, then a trip to Disneyland Paris is at the top of your to-do list for 2026!
